Jagadeesh Varma Nallaparaju

Jagadeesh Varma Nallaparaju is a PhD candidate and Junior Research Fellow at Tallinn University of Technology's School of Science, Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology. He is expected to complete his doctoral degree in 2025 with a thesis on "Mechanochemical Activation of Alkaline Earth Metals and Its Applications in Organic Synthesis" under the supervision of Professors Dzmitry Kananovich and Riina Aav.

His research focuses on the innovative field of mechanochemistry, which IUPAC has recognized as one of the ten innovations that will change the world. Nallaparaju's work aims to make chemical reactions more efficient and environmentally friendly through solvent-free or minimal-solvent approaches, with significant contributions to organometallic chemistry, green synthesis methodologies, and pharmaceutical applications.

Nallaparaju's publication record shows a strong focus on advancing mechanochemical techniques for organic synthesis, with multiple high-impact papers in journals like Angewandte Chemie International Edition. His research spans from fundamental reaction mechanisms to practical applications in pharmaceutical manufacturing and sustainable chemistry.
