Prof. Ludger Jansen is the Cusanus Professor of Philosophy at the Philosophical-Theological College of Brixen/Bressanone and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Rostock, where he leads a DFG project on the philosophy of bionics. He holds a doctorate from the University of Münster (2001) and habilitation from Rostock (2011). His research bridges metaphysics and philosophy of science, focusing on applying Aristotelian structures to enhance accessibility of research data and cultural assets. Key works include Tun und Können and co-edited volumes on biomedical ontology and social ontology. He is editor of Themen der antiken Philosophie and serves on advisory boards for journals like Applied Ontology. At the Centre for Advanced Study in Münster, he explores 'Access to Cultural Goods in Digital Change.'
