Lucy Yeatman is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Liverpool, affiliated with the School of Law and Social Justice within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She is a practicing solicitor specializing in family law and leads the Liverpool Law Clinic. Her roles include module coordination for the Clinical Legal Skills modules (LAW321 and LAW322). Lucy is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has received multiple teaching accolades, including Lecturer of the Year (2018).
Her research focuses on pedagogy, peer learning, and clinical legal education, particularly in enhancing access to justice for self-represented litigants in family courts. Collaborations include projects with Dr Louise Hewitt (University of Greenwich) and Emma Flint (Aston University) on peer feedback and assessment innovation in law clinics. Lucy is a trustee of the Clinical Legal Education Organisation (CLEO) and contributes to the Feminist Legal Research and Action Network (FRAN).
