Lucy Clark is a CTU Research Lead and Honorary Research Fellow affiliated with the University of East Anglia's Norwich Medical School and Population Health department. She holds an honorary position at Queen Mary University of London (2017-2019). Her research focuses on chronic fatigue management through exercise interventions, sleep-fatigue relationships, and randomized controlled trials. She has developed graded exercise therapies and trained clinical staff.
Education: PhD in Medicine (King's College London, 2005), MSc Sports Science (University of Essex, 1997), BSc Sports Science (University of Brighton, 1993). She has taught at Essex, King's College, Queen Mary, and UEA.
Research interests include chronic fatigue syndrome, complex intervention design, exercise psychology, and trial management. She leads projects funded by NIHR, Cancer Research UK, and others, addressing smoking cessation in emergency departments, fatigue management in NHS staff, and post-stroke fatigue interventions.
Notable contributions include the COSTED trial evaluating smoking cessation in emergency settings and developing fatigue risk management systems for ambulance workers. Her work spans academic research, clinical trial coordination, and public health innovation.
