Lucille Calmel

Lucille Calmel is a multidisciplinary artist, researcher, and lecturer at the School of Research in Graphic Arts (ERG) since 2019. Her work spans performance, digital cultures, and transdisciplinary practices, with a focus on interspecies interactions, sound, and visual poetry. She has collaborated extensively in experimental music and hybrid digital-art scenes.

Her research l'animal que donc je suis (2013–present) explores performance with animals, supported by FRArt FNRS in 2019–2021, encompassing publications, workshops, residencies, and installations. She co-founded the experimental theatre company Myrtilles and directed .lacooperative, a research center in Montpellier integrating technology and transdisciplinarity.

Her teaching and artistic practice emphasize somatics (e.g., Feldenkrais method), deep-listening, and field recording. She maintains active online presences via her WordPress blog, Facebook, and Vimeo portfolio.
