Lucila Carvalho is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Education, Massey University, Auckland. She holds a Master of Science from Brunel University (1997) and a PhD from the University of Sydney (2010). She is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), recognized in 2021.

Her research explores the relationships between knowledge, social structures, and technology in shaping educational experiences. She focuses on how physical and digital resources, human interaction, and learning environments combine to form productive learning networks.
