Lucian Arye Bebchuk is the James Barr Ames Professor of Law, Economics, and Finance at Harvard Law School, and Director of the Program on Corporate Governance. He holds advanced degrees from Harvard Law School and Harvard's Economics Department. His research focuses on corporate governance, law and finance, and law and economics, with a particular emphasis on executive compensation, institutional investors, and board dynamics. Bebchuk has authored over 100 papers and the influential book *Pay without Performance*. He has advised governmental bodies, served on corporate boards, and led initiatives like the Shareholder Rights Project, declassifying boards of over 75 major companies. His work has been recognized through prestigious awards, fellowships, and leadership roles in academic and professional organizations.
