Lucas Reigel serves as head coach of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's basketball program and lecturer in the Department of Health, Kinesiology, and Sport Management, teaching PE 491: Varsity Field Experience. With 24 seasons at UW-Parkside (22 as head coach through 2024-25), he has compiled a 310-281 career record while guiding the Rangers to seven NCAA tournament appearances and six division titles across the GLVC and GLIAC conferences.
Reigel earned his Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2000, where he also completed his undergraduate studies in 1995 as part of a national championship basketball team. Prior coaching roles include assistant positions at UW-Platteville under Bo Ryan and three years as UW-Parkside assistant coach before becoming head coach.
His professional expertise centers on sports science and basketball coaching methodology, with emphasis on athletic development and competitive strategy. Reigel's teams have demonstrated consistent excellence in conference play, highlighted by multiple division championships and NCAA tournament qualifications since 2006-07.
Notable accolades include eight major coaching awards spanning three decades:

Reigel actively contributes to athletic program sustainability through the university's corporate sponsorship initiative and founded the Junior Rangers youth development program serving over 100 local children annually. He maintains community engagement through coaching clinics and resides in Kenosha, Wisconsin with his family.
