Lucas Lovis

Dr Lucas Lovis is a Researcher at the University of Newcastle's School of Engineering, affiliated with the Centre for Innovative Energy Technologies. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering (2023) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (2019), both from the University of Newcastle. His research focuses on atmospheric water generation, materials synthesis, heat/mass transfer, and alternative protein production. He is fluent in English and Korean.

Teaching roles include marking, laboratory demonstrations, and supervising student research projects in chemical engineering and renewable energy. He has contributed to courses such as Process Modelling, Thermodynamics, and Biomedical Science modules.
