Lucas Bandinelli

Lucas Bandinelli is an Assistant Professor in Residence in the Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Connecticut, Stamford campus. He earned his Ph.D. in 2022 from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) in Brazil.

His research examines stress impacts across human development, with specific focuses on:

• Cognitive effects of adverse childhood experiences and chronic stress
• Stress-related impacts on physical and mental health
• Development of cognitive-behavioral interventions for psychological well-being
• Clinical applications for adult patient care

Dr. Bandinelli's publications demonstrate interdisciplinary research spanning psychology, psychiatry, immunology, and behavioral economics. Recent works explore COVID-19's psychological impacts, validation of depression assessment tools, psychooncology in cancer patients, and psychoneuroimmunological mechanisms in breast cancer.
