معرفی
Luca Griguolo serves as Associate Professor in Theoretical Physics at the University of Parma's Department of Physics, where he has been a faculty member since 1999. Concurrently, he holds a Research Associate position at INFN (Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare) and fulfills multiple leadership roles including Coordinator of the INFN Parma Group since 2014 and membership on the INFN National Committee for Theoretical Physics.
- PhD in Theory of Elementary Particles, SISSA (Trieste), 1990-1994
- Master in Theoretical Physics, SISSA (Trieste), 1992
- Laurea in Fisica, Padua University, 1984-1990
Professor Griguolo's research spans fundamental theoretical physics with emphasis on quantum field theory and string theory. His work explores both perturbative and non-perturbative aspects of gauge theories, supersymmetry, AdS/CFT correspondence, and quantum gravity. His theoretical investigations bridge mathematical physics with potential implications for understanding fundamental aspects of particle physics and quantum gravity, particularly through the lens of string theory and related mathematical frameworks.
His recent publications (2024-2025) demonstrate sustained engagement with cutting-edge topics in theoretical physics, particularly focusing on Wilson loops in supersymmetric gauge theories, localization techniques, and instanton phenomena. These works examine non-conformal N=2 theories, mass-deformed ABJM theory, and 2D Yang-Mills theory, reflecting his continued contributions to advancing our understanding of quantum field theories through sophisticated mathematical approaches.
- Aldo Gini Fellowship (1995)
- INFN-CICYT project Spokesman for 'QFT on NC spaces' Parma-Salamanca (2005)
Professor Griguolo has supervised 11 PhD students, 18 Master's students, and 10 Bachelor's students throughout his career. His research is supported by multiple grants including ongoing FIL funding from Parma University, COST Action MP1210 'The String Theory Universe', and various PRIN projects. He serves on the Scientific Board of the Physics PhD program and coordinates the National INFN project 'GAST (Gauge and String Theory)'.
He actively collaborates with international institutions including MIT, CERN, and numerous European universities, contributing to the global theoretical physics community through joint research, conference organization, and participation in international schools such as LACES at the Galileo Galilei Institute.
