معرفی
Luca Goglio is a Full Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS) at the Polytechnic University of Turin, where he also serves as Coordinator of the Interdepartmental Center J-Tech@PoliTO. His academic career at Politecnico di Torino spans numerous doctoral cycles, having been involved with the Mechanical Engineering Doctoral College continuously since the 21st cycle (2005-2006).
Professor Goglio's research focuses on adhesive joints, fatigue, fracture, impact, joining technologies, and mechanical strength. His work falls under the scientific disciplinary sector IIND-03/A - Mechanical Design and Machine Construction within Area 0009 - Industrial and Information Engineering. His expertise aligns with ERC sectors PE8_8 (Materials engineering) and PE8_7 (Mechanical and manufacturing engineering), contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and 12 (Responsible consumption and production).
His recent scholarly work demonstrates a clear trend toward investigating adhesive joint behavior under various loading conditions, with particular emphasis on fatigue analysis, damage assessment techniques, and the mechanical characterization of joints. His research combines experimental testing with analytical and numerical modeling approaches to understand the complex behavior of adhesive bonds.
