Luca Barattoni, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies at Clemson University's College of Arts and Humanities. He joined Clemson in 2006 after earning his Ph.D. in Italian Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research focuses on film studies, 19th and 20th century Italian literature, critical theory, and popular culture. Barattoni has authored and edited multiple books, including Italian Post-Neorealist Cinema (2013) and co-edited a special issue on Jewish Identities in Latin American Cinema (2019).
