Dr. Daniel Ross Goodman is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Theology and Religious Studies at St. John's University's St. John's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Modern Jewish Studies from The Jewish Theological Seminary of America, a J.D. from Western New England University of Law, and a B.A. in History and Jewish Studies from Yeshiva University. His research focuses on Jewish theology’s intersections with Christianity, other world religions, literature, and the arts. He has authored several books, including *Soloveitchik’s Children* (2023) and *Somewhere Over the Rainbow* (2020), and co-edited *Beyond Dialogue* (forthcoming 2024). His current projects include studies on Jewish theological views of the Land of Israel and Dante’s *Divine Comedy*.
Dr. Goodman has been a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Divinity School (2023–2024) and a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at the University of Salzburg (2021–2023). He is a two-time recipient of the international Whizin Prize in Jewish Ethics and a Yeshiva University Valedictorian in Jewish Studies. His work spans peer-reviewed articles in journals like the *Harvard Theological Review*, interdisciplinary studies in religious art and film, and popular scholarship on cultural and religious themes.
His scholarly contributions emphasize interfaith dialogue, ethical mysticism, and the theological dimensions of literature and cinema. He is proficient in multiple languages, including Italian, German, Hebrew, and Spanish, enhancing his ability to engage with global religious texts and cultural narratives. Dr. Goodman’s academic advising and mentorship are reflected in his postdoctoral research collaborations and contributions to academic discourse at institutions like St. John’s University.
