معرفی
Luca Alessandri is a Researcher at the Groningen Institute of Archaeology (University of Groningen, Netherlands) and the Department of Science of Antiquity (University of Rome La Sapienza, Italy). His career spans 20+ years of excavation leadership, GIS analysis, and paleoenvironmental studies focused on Italian landscape archaeology and European Bronze/Iron Age societies. He holds a PhD in Archaeology (2009) and a Master's in Letters (2001) from La Sapienza University.
- Education: State Scientific High School (1992), Master's in Letters (2001), PhD (2009)
- Key Collaborations: Sapienza University, University of Bologna, Tor Vergata University
Research Focus: Alessandri investigates prehistoric settlement organization, saltern technology, and cave usage across Central Italy. His work integrates GIS mapping, isotopic analysis, and 3D modeling to reconstruct human-environment interactions, particularly examining salt production as a catalyst for early state formation. He pioneered Bayesian dating for Bronze Age eruptions and low-cost RTK GPS systems for archaeological surveys.
Recent Publications (2024-2025) emphasize coastal resource management, archaeological technology, and interdisciplinary methodologies. His NWO-funded projects address salt's role in protohistoric political economies and Avellino eruption impacts.
