Heintz's research examines the co-constitution of bodies and objects through material histories, with a focus on artifacts like clothing, furniture, and tools. Their work interrogates invisible labor and affective experiences of the body in contemporary art.
Awarded multiple fellowships including the Mellon Foundation Artist Fellowship (2024-2025) and Vermont Studio Center Full Fellowships (2019, 2016), Heintz has established a significant presence in feminist and queer art practices.
