Dr Lowri Ann Rees is a Lecturer in Modern History at Bangor University's School of History, Law and Social Sciences. She holds a PhD from Aberystwyth University and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her research focuses on 18th and 19th century Wales, particularly the history of the gentry, rural protests (e.g., Rebecca Riots), land stewardship, and Welsh connections to India. She teaches undergraduate courses on British history and supervises postgraduate research in the field of country house studies.
