Professor Louise Rose is Head of Division of Digital Health and Applied Technology Assessment and PhD Coordinator at King’s College London, with a career spanning over 20 years in clinical and research roles across England, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada. She completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2007 and held a tenure-track position at the University of Toronto before joining King’s.
- Research Focus: Improving outcomes for mechanically ventilated patients across care settings (emergency departments, ICUs, weaning centers, home)
- Awards: MBE (2023) for NHS service during the pandemic; Student Nursing Times Award (2021) for teaching innovation
- Current Projects: EPiC-OSA (COPD-OSA overlap syndrome), OPTICAL (paediatric-to-adult ICU transition), and the KHP Digital Health Hub
Her recent publications explore digital twins for ventilator injury risk, delirium prevention, and virtual peer-support programs for caregivers. She collaborates extensively on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and home ventilation studies.
Scientific Awards:

She leads the Division of Digital Health and serves as Research Director for the Provincial Centre of Weaning Excellence in Toronto, Canada. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals in health and well-being.
