Louise Papillon is an Acting and Physical Skills Tutor, Director, and HEA Teaching Fellow at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Birmingham City University. She holds additional roles as Librarian, Disability Officer, and Personal Tutor. Her professional career includes extensive work in theatre, film, and television, with notable credits such as Godspell (Shaftesbury and Duke of York’s Theatres), Equus, and appearances in Coronation Street and Doctors.
Qualifications and training include studies at the Legat School of Russian Ballet and Ballet Rambert. She has directed workshops and projects for the Birmingham School of Acting, including the 2015 Foundation in Acting showcase at the mac. Her teaching spans acting and physical skills across all acting courses at the conservatoire.
Recent recognitions include the HEA Teaching Fellowship, reflecting her contributions to pedagogy. Louise’s work bridges performance practice and education, emphasizing physical theatre techniques and historical performance methodologies.
