Dr. Louise LePage is a Senior Lecturer in Theatre, Film, TV, and Interactive Media at the University of York, part of the School of Arts and Creative Technologies. She holds a PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London, and has held roles including Programme Leader for Theatre: Writing, Directing, and Performance (2020–2023). Her research explores posthumanism, robotics, and performance, particularly how technology redefines human identity in theatre. She leads projects like 'Inside Robot Theatre,' involving robots like Baxter and Nao, and is writing a monograph on posthuman theatre (2024). She co-edited Twenty-First Century Drama: What Happens Now (2016) and has published widely on Sarah Kane, Katie Mitchell, and Simon Stephens.

Research Interests: Posthumanism, robot performance, science fiction theatre, character theory, and the intersection of technology and human identity. She examines how theatre responds to technological encroachment on human forms, focusing on nonhuman subjects like AI and robots.
