Louise Lalonde is a Professeure titulaire at the Faculty of Law, Université de Sherbrooke, since 2000. She co-directs the Centre de recherche sur la régulation et le droit de la gouvernance (CrRDG) and was co-holder of the Chaire de droit et gouvernance de la santé (2008-2014). Her research focuses on reflexive legal frameworks, normative governance, and dispute resolution mechanisms.

Her work critically examines the normative foundations of law and the insufficiency of general legal theory in addressing modern justice systems, including reflexive laws and institutional normativity. She has contributed extensively to judicial training on amicable dispute resolution and led major interdisciplinary projects on reflexive legal governance, funded by the CRSH (2008-2011). Her publications span topics from reflexive legislation to organizational mediation, reflecting her expertise in bridging legal theory with practical governance challenges.
Her recent articles explore reflexive legal frameworks, citizen engagement in governance, and normative application in lived contexts, with keywords like Legal Theory, Mediation, and Reflexive Governance. She served as a legal advisor for the Quebec National Assembly on civil procedure reforms and leads research on healthcare governance and reflexive law.
