Dr. Louise Lakha is a Lecturer in Cognition and Neuroscience at the School of Psychology, University of Kent. Her research focuses on visual attention mechanisms, feature sensitivity, and capacity limitations in tasks like subitization and change blindness.
- PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from University of Birmingham
- Post-doctoral research at Brunel University
Her work combines behavioral measures (reaction time), electrophysiological recordings (VEP), and neuroimaging (fMRI) to study visual memory overwriting and neural correlates of feature change detection.
At Kent, she teaches research methods, statistics using R, and neuroscience modules while advocating for mixed-method research approaches.
