Louise Jennings, Ph.D., is a Professor and Associate Director of Graduate Programs in the School of Education at Colorado State University. She co-coordinates the EET Doctoral Program and focuses on community-based research grounded in critical and feminist theory to empower marginalized learners and educators in the U.S., Brazil, and Spain. Her work emphasizes institutional equity, participatory democracy, and transformative pedagogies.
Her research interests include youth empowerment, critical multicultural teacher education, and inquiry-based professional development. She teaches qualitative research methods, critical ethnography, and DEIJ (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice) in educational organizations.
Dr. Jennings has authored numerous publications, including Sites of Possibility: Critical Dialogue across Educational Settings and articles in leading journals like Teachers College Record and the International Journal of Qualitative Research in Education. Her work often explores Holocaust education, critical citizenship, and the role of dialogue in social change.
