Louise Dalibert

Louise Dalibert is a Lecturer in Political Science and Head of the L3 Political Science program at the University of Nantes (UCO), specifically within the Faculty of Law, Economics, Management and Political Science. She obtained her Doctorate in Political Science in 2022 with a thesis titled "Withdrawals from Political Life. A Different Perspective on Political Professionalization". She holds CNU qualifications in Political Science (section 04) and Sociology (section 19).

Her research focuses on political sociology, particularly exploring political professionalization, career trajectories of elected officials, and sociological analyses of political withdrawal mechanisms. She teaches courses such as Introduction to Political Sociology – Political Actors and Behaviors and Sociology of Territorial Collectivities.

Her recent publications examine intersections between family life and political careers, the rewards of political professions through free-time analysis, and post-political life trajectories of French deputies. She is affiliated with the SERP 3 research team at UCO.
