Dr Louise Bramley serves as the Head of Nursing and Midwifery Research at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH), while holding an honorary Associate Professor appointment at the University of Nottingham. Her career spans clinical, research, and leadership roles in acute care and geriatric healthcare, focusing on empowering frontline nurses and midwives to drive patient-centered research.

- Member of national/regional steering groups for clinical academic roles in nursing and allied health professions
- Editorial board member of the Journal of Research in Nursing
She leads NUH’s Institute of Nursing and Midwifery Care Excellence, which combines research, education, and care improvement initiatives. Under her leadership, NUH’s City Hospital achieved the ANCC® Magnet Accreditation, a first in the UK. Her work emphasizes talent management, leadership development, and innovation in nursing practice.
