Louise Adkins is an Assistant Professor Academic in the CAS School of Arts & Creative Industries at Coventry University, and an ASPiRE Research Fellow in the Centre for Arts, Memory, and Communities. She holds a PhD from the University of Leeds (2021) titled On Smoke & Fog; Performance Revisioning, Remembrance and Reclamation. Her work bridges performance art, heritage studies, and chronopolitics, focusing on historical narratives and collective memory.
She leads the Collaborative Practice pathway for postgraduate students and has conducted research on curatorial strategies for historical reconstruction in living museums. Key exhibitions include On Smoke pt 1 & pt 2 (2024/25, Chemnitz), VENTRILOQUISM (2024), and collaborations with institutions like The Tetley Leeds and Manchester Contemporary Art Fair.
