Professor Louisa C. Matthew is a faculty member in the Visual Arts Department at Union College, holding the rank of Professor of Art History. She earned her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Vermont and her Ph.D. from Princeton University. Her office is located in the Feigenbaum Center for Visual Arts (Room 210), and she can be contacted at matthewl@union.edu.
Her research explores interdisciplinary connections between art and science, with specialized focus areas including:
- Technical analysis of painting methods and materials
- Italian Renaissance art and architecture
