Louis Widmer is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Social Anthropology and Empirical Cultural Studies, University of Zurich. His work bridges historical and ethnographic approaches to examine the evolution of knowledge systems and cultural representations of rural spaces.

Louis’s publication on Hans Peter Duerr’s Dreamtime (2024) exemplifies his interest in interdisciplinary knowledge systems and their temporal relevance. His work often integrates methodologies from both historical studies and cultural anthropology.
