Louis Tisa is a Professor of Microbiology and Genetics in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences at the University of New Hampshire. His research focuses on environmental microbiology, exobiology, and microbial genomics, particularly studying symbiotic relationships between microbes and plants such as Casuarina and Alnus. He has expertise in functional genomics, microbial degradation processes, and the molecular mechanisms of microbial adaptation to environmental stresses.
