Louis Barriault

Dr. Louis Barriault is a Full Professor and Dean in the Faculty of Science at the University of Ottawa. He holds a B.Sc. (1993) and Ph.D. (1997) from Université de Sherbrooke. His research focuses on asymmetric synthesis, development of synthetic methodologies, and total synthesis of complex natural products such as Garsubellin A, vinigrol, and tetrodecamycin. His lab has pioneered photoredox catalysis and cycloaddition strategies for synthesizing terpenoids and heterocycles.
