Lottie Prowse serves as a Teaching Fellow in Equine Management within the Department of Pathobiology & Population Sciences at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), Hawkshead campus. She joined RVC in 2017 after completing her BSc in Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, initially working in the Equine Hospital before transitioning to her current teaching role in 2021.
Her educational qualifications include:

- Post Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Education (2024)
- Ongoing Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Education (completion 2025)
Dr. Prowse specializes in developing clinical competence through equine husbandry and handling instruction. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes practical confidence-building for pre-clinical students, reflected in her leadership of first-year animal handling practicals across all species and specialized equine training. She serves as Deputy Lead for Animal Husbandry modules in the Veterinary Gateway programme and BVetMed Year 1, while also teaching Bio Science Applied Animal Welfare and tutoring BVetMed students in years 1 and 2.
As a dedicated veterinary educator, she actively advances pedagogical expertise through formal qualifications. Her current focus on the Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Education demonstrates commitment to evolving teaching methodologies for clinical skills development. While not research-active, her contributions center on foundational veterinary training through structured practical experiences and the equine summer school program.
