Dr. Lottie Lane is an Assistant Professor of Public International Law at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Law. She holds a dual appointment in the Department of Transboundary Legal Studies and the Public Interests and Private Relationships research group. Her work focuses on international human rights law, business accountability, and AI governance.
Education

Research Interests
Dr. Lane explores the horizontal effect of international human rights law, corporate human rights responsibilities in AI development, and governance frameworks for disaster response. Her recent work addresses algorithmic governance limits, due diligence in regional human rights systems, and ethical AI accountability mechanisms.
