Lori White

Lori White serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Dr. White's research program investigates the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) signaling pathway with emphasis on its regulatory functions in cell adhesion, extracellular matrix metabolism, and tissue remodeling processes. Her work explores critical intersections between AhR and retinoic acid signaling pathways, providing mechanistic insights into developmental biology and disease pathogenesis, particularly in environmental toxicology and cancer contexts. She employs the zebrafish (Danio rerio) model system to elucidate molecular mechanisms of tissue dynamics.
