Lori Westropp

Lori Westropp is a Professor and Field Director for the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program at the University of Saint Francis since 2013. She holds a Master of Social Work from Loyola University, specializing in School Social Work practice. Her roles include program development, teaching, and mentoring students in field practicums.

• Education: MSW from Loyola University (School Social Work concentration)

Her research and professional interests focus on youth and families, child welfare, social justice advocacy, school social work, interprofessional collaboration, and administrative management. With 30 years of field experience, she has worked in schools, juvenile justice systems, community mental health, and residential facilities, serving at-risk youth and advocating for access to mental health and educational resources.

Lori actively presents at conferences such as CSWE Annual Program Meeting (Dallas, TX), IASWG Symposium (New York, NY), and NACADA (Indianapolis, IN), sharing insights on project-based learning, community connections, and relational advising frameworks.

She also serves on nonprofit boards supporting mental health and youth services, blending academic leadership with clinical practice in juvenile sex-offender interventions and family therapy.
