Her academic credentials include a B.S. from University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh (1990), M.A. from Central Michigan University (1993), and Ph.D. from Bowling Green State University (2001).
Professor Walters' research explores rhetorical dimensions across diverse domains including oratory, music, food practices, and motherhood. She maintains active scholarship in civic engagement and service-learning methodologies, particularly examining how community partnerships enhance communication pedagogy and democratic participation.
Her publication record demonstrates consistent focus on women's experiences through rhetorical analysis, with significant contributions to encyclopedic references in women's studies.
