Lori Tonnes

Lori Tonnes is an Adjunct Professor specializing in business and intellectual property law. She holds a BS in Biology from Western Washington University (1999), JD with IP concentration from University of Washington (2013), and Executive MBA from University of Washington (2019).

Professional roles include Senior Director of IP at Monod Bio (biotech startup co-founded by Nobel laureate David Baker), General Counsel at Altius Institute, and Patent Associate at University of Washington CoMotion. Served as President of Seattle Intellectual Property Inn of Court (2024).

Licensed to practice before USPTO since 2010 and Washington State Bar since 2013.
