Dr. Lori Lowder is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kennesaw State University (KSU). She holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research focuses on image processing, computer-aided engineering, cardiovascular biomechanics, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She has contributed to interdisciplinary projects, including prosthetics design, planetary exploration technology, and academic policy analysis.
Dr. Lowder has secured significant funding through grants such as the NSF S-STEM Grant (2019–2027; $997,000) to enhance engineering student retention and transition into careers.
