Lori Gibbs is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute, teaching design studio, and holds affiliations with the University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design. She previously taught at Penn and the University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on architectural heritage, surveying methods, and transnational architectural history between France, the U.S., and China (1920s–1940s). She examines how aesthetics and technical practices shape historical narratives and heritage sites.

Lori’s teaching spans undergraduate and graduate levels at multiple institutions, emphasizing the interplay between theory and practice. She remains active in architectural design and urban studies research.
