Lori Cox Han is Professor of Political Science and Doy B. Henley Chair of American Presidential Studies at Chapman University's Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Her expertise spans American Presidency, Media and Politics, Women and Politics, and Political Leadership.
Educationally, she earned a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, MA degrees from USC and California State University, Northridge, and a BA from UC Davis.
Her research focuses on presidential communication, gender dynamics in political leadership, and media's role in politics. Recent work examines campus free speech, political violence, and comedic effects in news media. She has authored multiple books and edited volumes on presidential leadership and gender equality.
She has served as past president of Presidents and Executive Politics section of APSA and on Pi Sigma Alpha's national board. Her publications appear in journals like PS: Political Science & Politics and American Politics Research.
