Lori Brotto serves as Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Medicine, concurrently holding the leadership position of Director at the Women’s Health Research Institute (WHRI).
Her research program centers on women's health with specialized focus on sexual dysfunction, psychological aspects of gynaecological conditions, and mind-body interventions. The WHRI under her direction fosters interdisciplinary collaboration across clinical, biological, and social science domains to address critical gaps in women's healthcare throughout British Columbia.
As Director of the Women’s Health Research Institute, Dr. Brotto oversees a province-wide network of researchers, clinicians, and community stakeholders dedicated to advancing evidence-based practices and health policy through translational research initiatives targeting diverse female populations.
