Lori Bell serves as Studio Faculty for Jazz Flute at San Diego State University, where she holds the position of Instructor of Flute and studio teacher. A Brooklyn native now based in San Diego, she is a critically acclaimed flutist and composer recognized with three Global Music Awards for her artistic contributions.
Her creative research spans multiple dimensions of jazz performance and composition:
- Specialization in C flute and alto flute techniques
- Original jazz composition with sophisticated harmonic structures
