His research focuses on sociology of memory and cultural trauma, particularly in crisis and conflict contexts; sociology of consumption, especially symbolic production and social practices; and community studies, including territorial development in mountainous regions. He explores how collective memory is constructed and contested, and the interplay between culture and consumption.
Recent publications analyze cultural trauma in post-pandemic Italy, collective memory of disasters like the Gleno Dam collapse, and symbolic consumption in family dynamics. His work bridges theoretical frameworks (e.g., Durkheimian studies) with empirical investigations into cultural and social transitions.
