Lorenzo Ferroni is an Associate Professor of Greek Language and Literature at the Department of Literature and Philosophy, University of Florence. His academic career spans multiple international institutions including Université Laval (Canada), KU Leuven (Belgium), and CNRS (France), where he conducted research on Neoplatonic philosophy and classical philology.

His scholarly contributions include numerous publications on Plotinus' Enneads, critical editions of Plato's dialogues (particularly the Ion), and studies on Maximus Planudes' compendia of Platonic works. Professor Ferroni has received significant research funding, most notably a Marie Curie IEF Fellowship for the 'Plotinus against Gnostics: a New Survey' (PaGaNS Project).
