Dr. Lorenza Melli is a Professor and Associate Scholar at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz (Max Planck Institute). She specializes in Early and Renaissance Drawings, Goldsmiths' Graphics, and Scientific Analysis of artworks. Her work focuses on Italian art with a particular emphasis on Quattrocento techniques and watermarks.
Education: Degree (1993) and Specialization (1997) from the University of Florence under Mina Gregori. Key roles include:
- Researcher for the Corpus der italienischen Zeichnungen 1300-1500 project (since 2012)
- Visiting Professor at University of Pennsylvania (2010)
