Dr. Lorena Escandón is an Assistant Professor at the School of Creative Industries at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), where she teaches courses such as Leadership, Emerging Technologies, and Trendwatching. She holds a Ph.D. in Innovation Management from École de Technologie Supérieure (Montreal), an M.Sc. in Entrepreneurship from Lund University (Sweden), and a BIT in Information Technology from Universidad de Monterrey (Mexico). Her research focuses on creativity, design processes, innovation, entrepreneurship, and knowledge discovery. She emphasizes collaborative approaches to leverage technology for market-ready ideas through workshops, bootcamps, and interdisciplinary programs.
