Lorella Terzi is a Professor and Research Degrees Leader in the School of Education at the University of Roehampton. Her research focuses on educational justice, disability studies, and the capability approach, examining fair provision for students with disabilities and special educational needs (SEND). She leads projects such as 'Can Do, Will Do?' (funded by SEMPRE) exploring music’s impact on well-being for children with profound learning difficulties, and 'Child Poverty and Education: Philosophical Reflections' (funded by PESGB), analyzing socio-educational inequities. Terzi holds editorial roles in journals like the British Journal of Special Education and is an HDCA Fellow. She also serves on the Advisory Council of Music of Life, a charity supporting music access for children with disabilities.

Her research interests emphasize normative dimensions of educational policy, inclusive practices, and the intersection of disability with justice. Recent work includes defending well-being as an educational aim and applying the capability approach to moral education. Terzi has supervised 12 doctoral students and contributed to over 35 publications, including her influential monograph Justice and Equality in Education (2008), awarded the 2011 Nasen Award.
Her activities include academic leadership, editorial board memberships, and external examining roles. Key collaborations span Italy, the UK, and beyond, reflecting her commitment to global educational equity.
