Lorelei Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Health Sciences (specialising in Healthcare Organisation & Governance) at the School of Health Sciences, Bangor University. She is an active medical anthropologist whose work bridges social theory and healthcare practice. She is a Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute and the Higher Education Academy, and contributes to international academic leadership through roles in the Society for Studies in Organising Healthcare and the editorial boards of the International Journal of Health Governance and the Journal of Health Organisation and Management.
Her research focuses on the social organisation of healthcare, with key interests in:

Lorelei Jones leads multiple funded research projects, including NIHR-funded evaluations of national policies and Welsh Government-supported reforms. Her work is translational, aiming to inform policy and practice through rigorous academic inquiry. She is also an active PhD supervisor, welcoming students interested in social science applications in healthcare.
