Dr. Longjian Liu is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health. He also serves as an adjunct associate professor in medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine and previously held the position of Interim Chair of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health.
Dr. Liu received his MD from Shanxi Medical University (SMU) in China, a PhD in Epidemiology from The University of Hong Kong, an MSc in Epidemiology from The University of London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Medical Doctor in Preventive Medicine from SMU. His international training spans institutions across China, the United Kingdom, Japan, and the United States.
Dr. Liu's research focuses on the epidemiology of cardiometabolic disorders and aging-related neurodegenerative disorders. His work spans three integrated areas: Global Cardiometabolic Health, Epidemiology of Aging, and Disease Risk Prediction using AI/Machine Learning techniques. He has published over 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals, with more than 70 indexed in PubMed.

Dr. Liu teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in epidemiology and serves as an academic advisor for PhD students at Drexel University.
