Longhui Zeng is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Cell Biology at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of infection diseases, immune responses, and T cell signaling. He earned a PhD in Biology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (2018) and conducted postdoctoral training under Xiaolei Su, specializing in phase separation, CAR T cell therapy, and immune cell signaling. His work bridges structural biology, biochemical reconstitution, and translational immunotherapy. Key research areas include PLCγ1 signaling in leukemia, biomolecular condensation in T cells, and designing synthetic chimeric T cell receptors for cancer treatment.

Research highlights include elucidating Salmonella host interactions, structural basis of biofilm formation, and mechanisms of hyperactive PLCγ1 signaling in T-cell malignancies. His recent work emphasizes engineering CAR T cells with improved sensitivity and specificity for low-antigen cancers via IDR-induced condensation.
