معرفی
Dr Long Nguyen is a Research Fellow at the University of Sydney, affiliated with the Sydney Medical School and the Northern Clinical School within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. His research focuses on kidney disease, epigenetics, maternal obesity, and metabolic disorders, particularly exploring developmental origins of health complications. He is a member of The Centre for Drug Discovery Innovation.
Key research areas include renal pathophysiology, developmental programming of disease, and the impact of maternal diet/environment on offspring health. His work employs animal models to investigate mechanisms like DNA methylation, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction. Recent studies examine interventions such as hydralazine and L-carnitine to mitigate kidney damage.
Publications highlight innovative methods like deep learning for kidney cell analysis and non-invasive biomarkers for chronic kidney disease progression. His work bridges basic science and clinical applications, with studies in Nutrients, Scientific Reports, and Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism.
